ENVIRONMENTAL CREDITS PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT on behalf of its customers, including purchase and sale on the market, or through bilateral agreements with obliged agents.

TRADING of environmental credits, aiming at finding green certificates to meet environmental obligations

GREEN MARKETING of environmental achievements obtained, through the implementation of specific communication activities aimed at business‘ customers and users

ADDITIONAL SERVICES - verification of the possible acquisition of supplementary certificates (white certificates and CO2 allowances)

The service is targeted only to the following technologies:

• Cogeneration / tri-generation plants from renewable sources (biogas / vegetable oil, biomass) of power less than 1 MWe

• ORC power generation plants powered by biomass power less than 1 MWe

• CHP / trigeneration plants powered by renewable sources (vegetable oil, biomass from short chain) of power greater than 1 MWe

Green certificates attest the origin of electricity produced from renewable sources. The purpose of Green Certificates system is to encourage the production of electricity from renewable sources, helping to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases. They are financial securities issued by the GSE- Gestore del Servizio Elettrico (Italian Manager of the Electric Service), they are tradable and are purchased by electricity producers who must comply with the obligations to reduce their energy production from fossil fuels (oil, gas and coal), for the benefit of renewable ones. Green certificates are awarded for the production of electricity from: biomass, wind, hydro, biomass CHP and biogas. They can be obtained by producers of energy from renewable sources, owners of RES qualified plants.

Tholos is the consultant partner for:

requesting and obtaining RES qualification, green certificates or all-inclusive rate, RECS or LECS

portfolio management of environmental credits on behalf of its customers, including their purchase and sale on the markets

The GSE grants the Green Certificates for 15 years, for the plants came into operation at a later date to December 31, 2007, with an annual average rated power of more than 1 MW, differentiated by source, relating to the Finance Act 2008 and updated by Law 23/07/2009 n. 99:

• Wind energy plants for size greater than 200 kW

• Offshore Wind energy

• Geothermal energy

• wave and tidal

• Hydraulic energy different from that of the previous point

• Biodegradable waste, biomass, other than those referred to below

• Biomass and biogas from agricultural, livestock and forestry by short chain

• landfill gas and sewage gas and biogas purification processes other than those of the previous point.
